0-1 development for success

When faced with the challenge that a wholesale rework of all enterprise training and technologies requested by leadership would exceed  both project costs and timelines, we were faced with an almost insurmountable task. In response, I developed and patented a rapid-authoring technology US20110145293 A1 that lead to a 50% reduction in speed to market and cost in the redevelopment of training materials.

This tool allowed for the creation of the course package by assembling courses based on learning objectives and created the introduction and summary sharable content objects necessary for the course. This became something that could be done in a few minutes for each course, as opposed to hours of manual work. Vendor use of this tool in the creation of their content, also ensured that the consistency in the output of content from multiple vendors would be consistent and easily maintained. This was taken from 0-1 MVP in the extremely compressed timeline of one month and iterated from there.

To meet project timelines we needed all teams to deliver faster, and at a higher quality than was currently being produced. This tool saved 50% of the estimated cost of vendor development costs and timeline estimates by 50%. Content delivery times were reduced by 50%, allowing us to meet the tight timeline imposed by an immutable business need. It also reduced it also reduced vendor development costs by 505. This was not just 0-1, it was 0-1 at the speed of business.
